I was just checking in about this message and translation.

I had not heard anything back, so I wanted to be sure that I did not miss something, or wanted to provide help if you had questions.

Hi Leslie and Araceli,

 

I have been working on a way to better implement translations for the content on Parents as partners (PPO) Registration and Content pages on the SAA site.  I do have a way now to do a full content replacement into another language for static article pages on the SAA site at this point, but with things like registration forms, I will still need the .po file to do the text replacement in those dynamic forms.

 

That being said, I am attaching the .pot file that is the translation template for the Parents as Partners registration page(s).

 

You can open this file with a free program called Poedit.  Here is the link to download the program from their website:

Here are the steps:

1.       Open file the attached file in Poedit.

2.       Click the (Create New Translation) button in the center of the bottom pane of the window.

3.       Select either (Spanish (Mexico) or  Portuguese (Brazil)) to start the translation for that language. Click Ok.

4.        Then just move down the list of English words/phrases and type your translation into the bottom box.

5.       Save when finished and send me the resulting (.po) file.

 

Again since the page is dynamic, this file covers all the states of the user and their options, so we do need each phrase translated.

 

Araceli had sent me the text already for the left side of the PPO registration page, and I will need this content also in Spanish.  (Text in the main left column)

You might also want to provide translations for the help and studio ideas pages. These are just static and I can do a full replacement of that content (so we do not need the .po file for these).  Those links are here:
