Before the lights go out and you can get some rest, I’m going to kill two birds with one stone by putting two subjects in this email. In a way, they are connected.
1) In the meeting we had with you and the directors of AMSBrasil, we asked about the possibility of SAA offering a discount on registration for the Atlanta´s meeting, to make it easier to go (each person will pay for their own air travel and perhaps hotel expenses).
I paid the full amount for my registration, so I speak on behalf of the others who want to go.
The registration with discounts end tomorrow, so I wanted to see if SAA could offer them a discount. I believe that 50% of the registration fee would be a reasonable amount. However, I do not rule out the possibility of a better amount than this, since the directors will be helping out during the meeting.
Let me know what is possible, and how to proceed.
2) Shinobu is registered for the meeting, and once again her husband will accompany her. They go everywhere together!
But it is always a delicate situation. He was also there at the conference this year, but he did not register because it did not make much sense for him (he is from another area, he is only there to be with her, it’s expensive to pay for two registrations, etc.). As a result, he did not have access to anything, and he felt out of place.
To minimize this situation, Shinobu asked me to intervene this time, asking to you if there is a possibility for him to register this time without making the payment. It would only be to accompany her during the activities.
Considering everything she has already done by Suzuki method in Brazil and Latin America, and that they are both in their 70s, I think the request is valid, so I would like to see with you what we can do for him.
