Dear Teacher Trainers,

We hope your year is off to a great start! We cannot wait to see many of you in Louisville this March! For those who are unable to attend, don’t worry! If you’re looking for more in-person opportunities, we’ll announce our next Leadership Retreat and Conference dates very soon! We’re also planning for Zoom meetings later this year as an alternative option for anyone who cannot make it to our in-person events.

In the meantime, we are writing to request your input below, and provide a few updates about the Conference. As always, if you have any questions, please be in touch with us at info@suzukiassociation.org or by phone at 303-444-0948.

Best,

The SAA Team

Teacher Trainer Events at the Conference

Please join the Suzuki Training Committee (STC)on Friday, March 22 & Saturday, March 23, 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. for their Sunrise Sessions! This is a time to hear updates from members of the STC about their conversations in office hours, their work in sub-committees, and their ideas for strengthening our Teacher Development Program! We hope to see you there!

Teacher Trainer Meet & Greet on Saturday, March 23, 1:00–2:30 p.m.: An informal moment to gather together, reconnect, and celebrate our reunion. Teacher Trainers can also connect with our Executive Director, Angelica Cortez, and Learning Manager, Erin Rushforth

Please note – while we typically host a Teacher Trainer meeting on Wednesday (pre-conference day), this will not take place this year. We want to leave as much space as possible for those interested in attending pre-conference sessions and sessions throughout the conference to have the space to do that. We also want for all of our Trainers to have as much time as possible to reconnect with one another directly.

Book One: Zoomer Hour on Thursday, March 21, 2:30–3:15 p.m.: If you are a Teacher Trainer who has taught a unit one course over Zoom, and have teacher training participants who you’d like to connect with at the conference, come by our Zoomer Hour! This is an opportunity for participants to connect with their teachers, and receive any fine tuning notes about their teaching and practice! Join Tanya Carey, and other Book One hosts in creating space for our participants to get the fine training they need!

Room locations will be announced soon. Of course, several Teacher Trainers are hosting sessions throughout the conference in addition to the sessions listed above. View the full schedule of events at this link.

Not attending the conference? Don’t worry! There will be additional gatherings for Teacher Trainers online in the coming months, in addition to continuing our Suzuki Training Committee Office Hours.
