Dear ECC hosts, Teacher Trainers, and Institute Directors: We hope this email finds you in good health! Thank you so much for all of the work you do in support of Dr. Suzuki’s vision. We’re excited to collaborate more in the year ahead. We’re writing to let you know about a change we are making to our online Every Child Can! course effective as of today, Friday, June 17th, 2022. Moving forward, participants who take an online ECC course will receive the ECC manual in a digital format. The SAA office will email details about how to receive the digital ECC manual closer to your course offering, but we want everyone to have advanced notice to help smooth this process. ECC Online course participants who prefer a hard copy manual will have the option to order one via the SAA website for the cost of shipping and handling. In-person courses will continue to receive hard copy manuals. We understand this change will be preferable for some, and for others, this change may be unexpected or worrisome. To offer context, we are making this change because our course materials are often not getting to participants in a timely manner due to postal services operating slowly, and our team now needs to mail hard copies to multiple addresses across multiple countries, rather than to one address (which we do for in-person courses). Additionally, courses for our institutes sometimes shift from in-person to online or the opposite, which can make it difficult for our team to send materials out quickly. We want to offer the materials for the course in a timely manner, and want to ensure that our team is able to meet the needs of all online courses. We want to remain flexible to the ever-changing needs of each of you—our course hosts, Teacher Trainers, and Institute Directors. To do so, and to ensure materials are received in a timely manner, we need to adjust our internal processes to accommodate our ECC Online course. We want our participants and hosts to have a great experience with the course. We will continue to review our processes to make sure that our shared goal of providing a high-quality learning experience and a community learning space is met. If you have any questions or would like to voice a concern, please feel free to email us at info@suzukiassociation.org. Thank you for your flexibility as we continue to improve our processes. Best, |
