Oi Araceli, Segue a justificativa para o curso. Abraços, Mariana Moretzsohn We would like to request airfare financial support from the Suzuki Association of Americas for Teacher Trainer Diana Galindo to offer level 1 of Suzuki Piano in Brazil. We have invited Mrs. Galindo to come offer level 1 and an enrichment course focused on teaching piano to 2-3 year-olds on January 10-17th, 2020. The plan is for level 1 to take place on January 10-16 and the enrichment course to take place on the 17th. We do understand it is very likely Teacher Trainers Flor Canelo or Caroline Fraser are offering level 1 piano in Lima, Peru, in a very similar date. However, neither of them have an enrichment course focused specifically on how to approach teaching piano to a 2-3 year-old beginner, which is a very specific approach, one that, so far, we never had any training available in Brazil (either Suzuki or traditional). Moreover, even though the training courses in Lima are not very expensive, the airfare to travel there make it impractical for many teachers to go to the Festival in Lima. Also, January is the best period of the year for any training courses to take place in Brazil, since most teachers in the country are on school break. But since it is so expensive to go to Lima, unfortunately it is impossible for many teachers to participate in any training courses offered in Peru. The course with Diana Galindo would be offered in São José dos Campos – São Paulo, where airfare is not expensive, and is an easy place to travel from anywhere in Brazil, which would be an amazing and vital opportunity for many teachers who cannot go to Lima. We also understand there are piano courses taking place in São Bernardo do Campo – São Paulo with Teacher Trainer Flor Canelo during other parts of the year. But during those times there are countless teachers who cannot attend because they can’t take a 6-day long break to travel. And this is a situation that would be solved by having a training course happening during January. Furthermore, there are teachers who already took level 1 Suzuki Piano training with both Flor Canelo and Caroline Fraser and would love to retake the course with a different teacher trainer, something that would offer a new and unique perspective. We believe Diana Galindo would be perfect for that because of her approach to very young beginners. We sincerely hope the request can be considered. Respectfully, Mariana Moretzsohn Suzuki Piano Teacher +55 27 98818 6864
